The complex systems of nature correspond to the behavioural characteristics of species and to the physical changes developing in habitual formations. Naturally occurring patterns, repetition and growth construct and stimulate the creation of mass and form. These formations are a nexus, a colony of unique and precise corresponding units that create living and ever expanding possibilities. This natural production corresponds with the repetitive technique consisting of categorisation and selective application onto sculptural mass that inhabits unexpected spaces. These spaces are not arbitrary however, but do reflect adaptation to an unfamiliar environment and how such powerful entities can exist in the world as forces of life. The process integrates mass collections of neglected, commonplace items to create sculptural assemblages that correspond to natural counterparts. Jigsaw puzzle pieces act as individual germinating segments, growing in unison. Reflected in each puzzle is both natural and man-made imagery, highlighting the integration of material and nature, allowing an unseen collaboration that addresses how synthetic items might react to developing as natural forms.
